You can call me TC

your article contains lots of information and is a subject that is well placed in the Guide. I shall also recommend that the Musician's Guild mentions it.

Definitely a must - to be taken into the Guide practically as it stands.

I second the motion (that this is a very good entry). I live at the edge of civilization (Texas, USA - OK, just past the edge) and was able to check out the video of "Topsy Turvey" from my local small town library. A great film about a great partnership, wonderful entertainment (a term I consider a compliment). I am definitely not an opera fan, but G & S are great. smiley - magic

BTW, I'm pretty sure one of the lead actors in "Topsy Turvey" also had a nice role in Woody Allen's "Bullets Over Broadway" - I think his name is Broadbent, or similar. Good stuff.

Jim Broadbent - played Gilbert.
I've not seen Bullets over Broadway, but he was, just in the last year, Bridget Jones' dad, Harold Zidler in 'Moulin Rouge' and John Bayley in 'Iris' - for which last he is Oscar nominated. He is a fantastic actor!

I have to confess ... I like some of Sullivan's "serious" music ...especially his organ transcriptions of hymns. ...but there's nothing to beat his opera scores in the end ... smiley - winkeye
