A Conversation for Why There Are No Transitional Fossils

I appreciate your attempt to explain the reason for the gaps in the fossil record but,I think the analogy serves more to support the idea of faith than it does evolution. How do we know that there ARE missing photographs in the album? That's a big assumption. If we are to believe that there ARE missing photos (and we don't have them) it must be taken by faith. It sounds an awful lot like the arguements creationists use support the existence of God. Certainly science does allow for conjecture but, unfortuantely there is a lot of missing information to substantiate how evolution can explain how life went from "goo to you". The picture that I see is one similar to a jig saw puzzle - only we certainly do not have all of the pieces or even close to all of the pieces. Moreover, we don't even have a picture to reference what the puzzle is supposed to look like. And so we are left to make up a picture of what we "believe" it's supposed to look like and then try to make the pieces fit. At best, the result is incomplete and unclear. At worst it is subjective and contrived.
Yet we press on in search of answers. Here's hoping!
