An awful lot of sitting around in Europe too as an extra. Drink the coffee, eat the sandwiches and read a book, a script or anything you can get your hands on. I used my time waiting in the extras bus to improve my German by chatting to other extras. I was a football(soccer) fan for the day for a German TV movie being filmed in Hamburg.
