A Conversation for Fairy Tales

That fairy tales of Grimm Bros were originally much less wholesome and not exactly "idealistic" gives an interesting twist to the tale. A while ago a read a note that original Cinderella was not as innocent as the story usually portrays her. She was a wench who actually had two illegitimate children. It appears that Grimms had a different type of readers projected in their minds when they wrote those stories.

I've read a lot of versions of Cinderella, but never one where she has any children at all.
Perhaps you have her confused with Sleeping Beauty, who in the Italian version is raped by the prince while asleep and gives birth to twin babies.
