The platypus doee curl itself into a ball when threatened by danger and is even said to roll away from danger. Well probably nature did invent the wheel ( a 3D multidirectional one at that).
Speaking of multidirectional wheels don't you think it would be a great idea to have ball and socket contraptions rather that axel and spoke stuff?
Just take a look at THE BALL vacuum cleaner from DYSON. It uses a ball to guide the cleaner instead of the traditional wheels!
