The botanical garden used to have a gigantic cast iron statue of a praying mantis perched high atop one of the buildings like the God of the Garden, but I believe it has been sadly relocated to the City Museum in downtown St. Louis. (Which is also a very cool place with lots of little mazes through fake trees and slides and things)
