I once heard somewhere that the ancient Celts had a way to check if someone was lying. They would get the person in question to put out a candle by spitting on it - if they couldn't do it in one spit then it proved that their mouth had dried up because of their fear of being found out as a liar.
A ggod reason to always drink plenty of water!
