A Conversation for Korfball - the Game

Greetings...
Excellent article!
I've taken up Korfball in the last couple of months, and I don't think I've made a better decision in ages. Korfball clubs have a great social atmosphere, as mixed teams tend to reduce the among of tribalism and stupidity that seems to follow some team sports (men's and women's).
What I really like about Korfball is the importance of tactics, teamwork, and thinking, and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone who's thinking of taking it up. Every UK club I know of is always looking for new members, and runs a beginners programme.
Best wishes
Otto

Thanks
I've played the game for about 13 or 14 years or so, and I like it a lot as well. It's a shame that last year I had to quit because of the lack of time
It's a good thing to find out that England is really getting into it as well though !

Well,
The Cult of the Korf spreads, to of all places, that nasty sheep filled land beyond the dreaded Severn Bridge.
Yes, for company, Cardiff Uni (BUSA winners 2001) will soon be joined by Cardiff City KC.
Playing in the local (and resurrected) Excalibur league, post xmas 2002, CCKC aim to play away the rust and doubt and claim the small but meaningful prize of league champions.
Watch this space, cos if the powers that be manage it, there will soon be a Welsh Korfball Association (to join fellow celts scotland), and maybe, we`ll enter the County Championships as Wales.
You never know.

I've grown up playing Korfball (in Germany), but had forgotten all about it until I read your entry.
Thanks for writing it, I'm having very fond memories of my childhood/youth now.
