Taboo subjects and what people really do
When legislative laws overcome cultural laws, chaos ensues, according to some hidebound traditionalists and nationalists.
Of course, if you actually study the cultural "laws" and their
enforcement or lack of enforcement or both, depending upon
a case by case misconstrual of the circumstances or lack of
them, then you find that while the legislatures may be full
of argumentative idiots who can't find more useful work,
the cultural tribunals are full of superstitious yingyangs
who got their jobs because their grandfathers had them.
A common sense approach to humans mistreating humans (which we
apparently are going to have to learn to live with) would
provide a plus-minus chart and a scorecard of some sort so
that we could see if anyone was actually winning or losing.
As far as I can see, humans are so happy mistreating themselves
and others that any chance for happiness lies not in telling
them to stop that and behave but in reverse psychology. Tell
them "stop lollygagging around and get to it", full blast.
Maybe once they have spent awhile doing everything that
occurs to their nasty little minds and cultures,
they'll get sick of it and settle down to be
drunken football hooligans.
The moment I get that figured out, I'll let you know. I still
haven't passed my A levels on obverse psych.
They say that misery loves company.
So much so that it invites it to stay awhile.
I say we should let all the masochists and perverts have their
own country...
oops, too late.
