Six years later it looks doubtful if Charles will ever be crowned.
The tabloids have been saying for some time that Charles and Camilla do not make a happy couple and Elizabeth II would rather her grandson take the throne.

The entry deals with facts; I cannot add tabloid speculation, can I? The only way William will inherit the throne from QEII is if Charles pre-deceases his mother.

I notice even Edward VIII was crowned before he abdicated.
Do you think Charles would do likewise if the furor over Camilla being Queen got to strong?
As you say we can't do an update based on speculation, so we will just have to stay tuned and see if hootoo outlives Prince Charles.

Edward VIII was not crowned before he abdicated. He abdicated before the ceremony. Do you mean he was King? The custom is: "the King is dead, long live the King" ergo he inherited the throne from his father upon George V's death. He was uncrowned when he abdicated in December 1936 and his brother Bertie immediately became King. Bertie and his wife Elizabeth were crowned King George VI and Queen Elizabeth on 12 May, 1937.
Charles will take the name George VI when he becomes King. He will request that his wife takes the title of Queen Camilla as is her right as the wife of a King (eack of the 6 wives of King Henry VIII were all queens in their own right). The talk of her taking the title "Princess Consort" is b*llsh*t. It would take an Act of Parliament for her to be denied the title of Queen.
<> no, never.
