The Norwegian word for comics is 'tegneserie', which means 'a series of drawings'. Aren´t we lucky to have such a neutral name for it? People still think it´s for children, though...

I like Eisner's "sequential art" to remove the humor connotation. I don't like "graphic novel" when too widely used, especially since it sounds like something dirty to laymen.
