Please clarify what you mean about influence.
What was his 'influence'? I can't see how later composers have taken much from Handel.
Perhaps you could tell us what later composers were influenced and in what way? Or perhaps not.

A valid question. I think the statement about the influence of a Baroque composer might better apply to J. S. Bach. I am admittedly biased, with Bach and Stravinsky as favorites. If you throw in Beethoven for the other periods (Classical, Romantic, and "Beethoven"), you've pretty much got it all covered.
OK, well, there IS Mozart ...
