This stuff is a curse if it gets into your lawn! We moved into our current home and the front lawn was 75% yarrow - it has been a real pain to get rid of as it propagates by the roots - if you leave a tiny bit of root behind it won't be long before you've got a lawnful of the stuff again smiley - groan

Endless careful pulling it up, raking, and mowing has almost beaten it but it is still there, lurking, waiting until our backs are turned smiley - monster

Basically, if you are going to plant this and don't want it to take over, plant it in a biggish-sized plastic pot and plant it into the ground pot and all so that it is restricted. This also works for mint if you don't want that everywhere smiley - ok

Mina

I had to plant mint in my garden, I couldn't gorw enough for what I needed in a pot.

I *don't* recommend this for anyone unless you really are going to use it all. I just like it because it's chocolate peppermint. smiley - biggrin

Nice entry!

Yeah, I think that's more with the wild stuff than the varieties you'd find on sale though. I'm hoping it is, anyway!

I got a wee scraggy bit from dividing a bit in someone's garden. It's a purple type I haven't seen anywhere else. Anyway it's getting a couple of leaves now, but it's anything but rampant. 'Course that could all change given enough time...
