h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I was always fairly large, blessed with big bones and an increasingly-crushed ego.....reading that entire entry takes me back - emotionally, at least - to my childhood; while I was rarely physically bullied, the psychological/emotional stuff was more than I could bear....and I desperately wanted to lash out: inflicting physical pain on those that caused my emotional pain.

Strangely enough, in retrospect I can recognise that there were only a few people who took delight in taunting me; all the others ingnored that and I saw that they weren't reacting, although I was..so I was blind to the situation.

I wish I'd been able to read that entry about 30 years ago, I really could have use it. Nothing I did worked and the emotional ghosts linger.....although I can probably exorcise them through fiction.....
