I agree - this is just the sort of thing that the h2g2 project was set up for. It makes me want to think of shark puns:
"Put a Tiger in your (water) Tank"

I grew up a stone's (or shark's) throw from the infamous house. I remember the local radio station ran a competition asking people to describe what the interior of the house looked like & what the shark's mouth may be used for.
Ah, memories...

i don't know why people in the neighbourhood would object to this. It'd make it easier to give directions to your house. "I'm just three doors down from the shark."
nice article.

from an architectural point of view, Mal, would this be considered 'jumping the shark' (not sure if this term is known overseas. Here in Canada, and the US, it refers to an episode of Happy Days, where the fonz jumped a shark on waterskis, and alludes to the point at which a tv show starts to go downhill, marked by some desperate scriptwriting.)

Well, since postmodernism can be seen as architecture in general jumping the shark, and this might be described as postmodern, I suppose so
I just think it's funny.

it is funny, Mal. I wish i had some sort of sea creature poking out of my roof. In my next house, perhaps a narwhal, or a seal.
