Quantum Displacement:

Math required: dimensional analysyis, (Intermediate Algebra); vector analysis, (Trig helps, but at least the Pythagorean theorum)

So if you take the direction times the speed times the mass of a moving object on one arm of the vector diagram and the direction times the negative speed times the energy of a soliton on the other arm of the vector diagram, the resultant gives the change in time, location and orientation of your moving object following the impact of your soliton on the moving object; EG, the object has jumped from the point of impact to the opposite end of the resultant and is now oriented in alignment with it.

Infuriating, isn't it.
