I had a manufactured toy water rocket bought for me as a kid. It was aerodynamically shaped and had fins, they must have improved on the pop bottle shape in the late seventies! Basically you filled it up to a marked level, pumped it up with the included hand pump, and then pulled the trigger (part of the hand pump), and whoosh off it went.. It was great fun until a dog ran off with it.

I must admit I lke Rockets...................I had a toy watta rocket + now have been inspired to make a bigger version , but using unused fireworks.......................fireworks are great, but u need to be safe.
On my way to work one am, to sunny salford, I passed under a motorway bridge. There were 2 boys standing on there, firing fireworks at traffik below...............it brought back memories of da war in Iraq.
Be safe if u goig to use rockets.
