A Conversation for Via Rail, Montreal - Toronto, Canada

I agree. Oh, and an additional .. if you are coming to Toronto, and want to check out an interesting place to eat, follow the signs from Union station out into BCE place, and in it you will find Movenpick Marche .. the restaurant I work(ed) at. Its a pain to work at, but people like coming there. Ask if Nathan is still working .. say hi But chances are I will have quit by then.

If you have an International Student Card, make sure you get the student rate when you travel VIA. It makes it even more worthwhile. I have always found the train an enjoyable way to travel. The scenery is pretty good too. On the right side of the Train (when heading to Montreal from Toronto) you get a great view of the lake and it can be pretty stunning depending on the weather. On the left side is the rural countryside of Ontario, speckled with numerous small towns and farm communities. For anyone who does not realize the vast size (and relative emptiness) of Canada, this little glimpse is a good first start.
