Wedding discos - the painless way!

Aaargh, the wedding disco. The very words are enough to bring tears to your eyes...but it needn't be a disaster. My brother-in-law DJ'd at my wedding and was superb.
He started with some '50s tunes and basically moved forward through the decades from there. My aunt & uncle (who are, admittedly, fairly cool) were first on the dance floor - with lots of older guests spotting songs they recognised and joining in soon after.
As the evening went on, the older guests started to slope off (as they do), the music got more up-to-date, the volume went up and the average age on the dance-floor went down. The result? Everyone got a chance to strut their stuff, with the hard-core still dancing in the early hours.
By the way, guess who was last to leave the dance floor... what a pair of party animals!
