Obviously,Vonnegut has the scientific mental equivalent of a physicist.I have read Sirens of Titan(a funny,froody book)and Cat's Cradle.In Cat's Cradle,ice-nine is a stunning concept.The US government actually has made some.No wonder Adams liked Vonnegut!
