Sawadee-ka!
Brunswick County, NC, possesses a small, but significant, portion of Thailand. On twenty-three acres of marsh forest is poised a very peaceful Theravadan (Thai) Temple. The Abbot responsible for the physical and spiritual atmosphere is Tan Ajahn Phrakru Buddhamonpricha, a dearly beloved Thai-North Carolininan.
Each year we celebrate Songkran at the Temple. Water is everywhere!!!
I think what I enjoy the most is dropping water from flower petals onto the monks hands. There is good luck to be had all around!
Thanks for your story,
