Artifact 2-2-V-1 is a piece of an aircraft found on Nikamaro Island about 300 nautical miles SSE of Howland Island.
It appears to be consistent with a patch added to Amelia's Electra. a unique piece of sheet metal.

It is important to mention that a high-tech underwater exploration of the seabed around Nikimoro, in 2019, failed to discover the wreckage.
This is disappointing, but a negative cannot be considered conclusive proof.
The search was conducted by Robert Ballard, who also discovered the Titanic. He used high-tech ROVs capable of 4,000-foot depths.
