Sorry guys, but using the phrase "perfectly cool" is just NOT cool. In the teen lexicon, i highly doubt that condoms are "cool" in any way shape or form. How about "it's a perfectly normal thing to do." or "there is nothing weird about doing this."

It just sounds like you're doing a really really "lame" sex-ed presentation when you try to use the word cool for the description of buying condoms.

Thanks for this. I've changed it to 'perfectly normal thing to do'. But I'd also like point out that it wasn't my intention to write using the 'teenage lexicon' and nor am a I sex education writer. By using the phrase 'perfectly cool' I simply meant that it's a perfectly 'alright' thing to do - it's the way I talk. It's possible that the word has slightly different nuances for both of us So, to save confusion and misunderstanding, I've changed it. I'd also be genuinely appalled if the Entry is percieved as somehow ingratiating...

The article is very well done, really. It was just that one word that irked me. And you're right, it was really just that the nuance of it could easily be misinterpreted.

Ooooh... now to plug my marvellous new game. It's called "Superdrug", and the level of it's maturity is on a par with unicycle polo. Either singly or in teams, you have to go into said chain chemist, buy 42 packets of some item or other (condoms are fine), and then two and a half hours later, return them all - bar one. No laughing, straight faces.

Actually, this is rather immature and and doesn't help the cause of making the purchase of condoms any easier, but it was purely in jest.
