McCrone's Law

1 Conversation

McCrone's Law is a special case of Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation. It is most commonly expressed as:

A cat furiously scratching itself!

Gravity applies to cats.

The Law was postulated by noted Scottish physicist Andrew McCrone in 2003, after deciding that, if Germain Henri Hess could get a law named after himself simply by stating the patently obvious1, then he could, too.

Use of McCrone's Law has yet to gain popularity within the engineering community.

1Viz., that Conservation of Energy applies to chemistry.
