i think they might've originated in Bavaria.probably.also,there's another place i've found delicious soft pretzels(definitely one of my favorite foods);it's called Uncle Sam's,but i don't think it's a chain.i've only seen it here(morgantown,WV),in an old mall in which most of the other stores have gone out of business long ago.i'm getting hungry.
