It took me years to write with any facilty. I had been marginally literate since I was about six, but it took another thirty odd years before I learned to leave some stuff out.

It took me almost thirty years to learn to play the guitar with enough facility that people at the guitar store will ask,"Um, how did you do that?" instead of "why did you do that?"

Maybe I'll learn to sing someday.
