May be worth mentioning that in a case that is found "not proven" (Scottish Law), the effects are legally the same as "not guilty", including protection from double jeopardy.

Yes, and? What on earth was that comment all about? I didn't say anything different.
What I said was that a verdict of "not proven" (which isn't mentioned in the entry) is legally equivalent to a "not guilty" verdict *and includes protection from double jeopardy*.

That's true, I guess not proven is like not guilty.

i love the 'Not proven' verdict in Scottish law. It's like saying "We know what you did, we can't prove it so watch it, we're keeping an eye on you."
