Why They Don't Eat Each Other

I may have an explanation for why the fish in the aquarium don't eat each other. At Ocean Journey in Denver, Colorado, US, an employee patiently explained to me that the predatory fish and mammals are hand-fed by employees in diving suits according to a very strict schedule. After a short time, they become domesticated and lose their interest in hunting. New additions to the aquarium are trained in this way before they are introduced to the group tanks.

That's good to know. I remember when,as a boy, I stood for hours at the N.E. Aquarium wondering just the same thing........I always hoped for a bit of carnage though.
