Anyway, the subject of your entry is very interesting and I just wanted to ask you, if you've read "Crazy about horses" by Laurence Scanlan? It's an absolutely magnificent book (I've read it three times, I think 
) about the horse in history, culture, literature, film buisness ect. There is also a fascinating chapter about the role of horses in the war, what could be intersting for you. So, just search for the book and enjoy it!
