Daydreams

Water lily gargoyles running in fear,
Daydreams are when I hold you near
Wishing on stars up in the sky,
Wanting to touch or to catch your eye.
Can you see when my blood runs so hot?
Or do you live in the land love forgot?
A passion for you burns in my soul
Doing damage that only your words can console,
Yearning for you to tell me your dreams
Bringing them true for you, yes, it seems.
Burning with fire my heart sings for you
Just tell me, please, what should I do.
I want an answer just for my mind
So then some sense I can then find.
But alas I awake to be then alone
Though some heartbeats then to postpone,
My daydreams for you, alas, now all gone.
