well everything in the article is right. technically. but you fail to highlight the essence of the show.
to put it shortly Buffy Rocks and Joss Whedon is God.

Putting aside the immense public approval and cult following of the show, no mention is made of the shows witty dialogue and amazing storylines.
Im noticing links are not treated too favourably, so all i can say is.. check out one of the script, like Rayne's Shooting Scripts, there you will see that Buffy goes beyond the mere teen show where the clothes are cool (though they are) and the people are hot (though they are).

Buffy has been severly underated when it comes to professional recognition for the show, and most people tend to dismiss it as yet another teen show riding on the wave of the supernatural fad.

Buffy is different. Buffy is much much more than that. It starting with showing HighSchool - which is hell for many - sitting on top of a real hell mouth. The person who saves the world from all the demons is the blonde teenager (now 20 though)- the one who traditionally gets killed first (running up the stairs instead of down them) in all the horror flicks.

Buffy is not just about the vampires, but the relationships, the stereotypes and the realities of life. Season Five makes that more clear than any of the other seasons, but since Im not sure whether they have aired all around the world, i wont go much more in to that.

I could write about BTVS for ages, but let me just get back to the point, you do not do the show justice.

Think that you are being harsh about this guide I liked it and thought it was a good attempt to get the ball rolling and I hope you do come back to add your 2 cents worth and maybe I will add mine, we can debate but not slate each others contributions especially as nothing outrageous was said cos thats not nice :o) Best wishes Peanut
