A very interesting entry. Although I have never been to Cairo I should be interested to see this if I ever do so.

One very small point - in the first footnote the Cubit is given as 20.62 ft. I think this should be inches - to match the metric of about half a meter.

This appears to be consistent with the "Royal Egiptian" cubit mentioned in a convenient website from the Uni' of North Carolina here:
