I've heard that Miso soup is good for keeping Alzheimer's at bay. Apparently, it helps to remove heavy metals from the body.

Mmmm... interesting. I wonder if it removes heavy metal from the brain, as well. I've had Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man' going round my head these past two week and it's driving me insane.
Only joking. Very good point this. The Japanese, and especially the Okinawans (living in the very south of Japan), live remarkably long and healthy lives. I know there's more to longevity than miso and indeed, that there's more to life than longevity. However, soya-based food makes up for a significant part of the Japanese diet...
