Interesting entry. You mentioned two titles I didn't know existed.
You also missed a title: You can be the Stainless Steel Rat. It's an 'Interactive game book', first print 1985 (ISBN 0-586-06359-5). If I remember correctly, the goal is to revive Prof. Geisteskrank.
Perhaps someone could do an entry on pangalactic gargeleblasters vs Jovian Lynxbat Sweat

Bzzzt! Go straight back to the Special Corps academy for observation training! The book in question is mentioned (in passing) in the entry under the section _The Books_!
I think the entry you suggest sounds quite interesting. However, we would need to do a lot of research in order to carefully document each facet of the relationship between the drinks and the human body. And do you really think we'd be in a condition to write an h2g2 entry after we'd completed the research?
Key: Complain about this post

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
