A Conversation for Candy Floss

At least candyfloss does have _some_ taste, unlike my personal bugbear in the 'can't deliver what it promises' stakes - the watermelon. Surely nothing else can look so unbelievably tasty and yet actually not taste of anything.
*does Esther Rantzen impression* Unless, of course _you_ know better...

Ah, you're English, aren't you? So am I, but I now live in the USA, and I have found that the watermelons here do actually taste of something. There must be something to do with watermelons in the UK being force-grown or shipped thousands of miles that causes them to lose all their flavour.

It only seems to be watermelons that suffer in this way. All other types of melon taste quite nice.
