This is an excellant entry, but there's been a downpour of sucessful hunting in the last five years, much of which could be added to this entry - any takers?

Agreed: it needs to be updated. I no longer have the enthusiasm for h2g2 that I used to so I'm willing to hand it over to whoever wants to update it. I'd only ask that the original spirit of the entry be preserved. It's about the *how* of planet hunting, and I think a huge list of findings would detract from that. Better to talk about some of the new ideas that have surfaced.

The extrasolar planet findings are being added to the constellations they are in, (by me), they won't be added here FM
