You opined that one word unique to Philly is the word 'jimmies', which means 'sprinkles' - like the ice cream topping.

Having grown up in Boston, I didn't realize until I left the area that 'jimmies' wasn't a universal tearm for the small bits of candy (chocolate smiley - choc or rainbow) that decorated ice cream.

Maybe it relates to the fact that Ben Franklin was born in Boston and only went to Philadelphioa as a teenager (but I doubt it).smiley - winkeye
