You opined that one word unique to Philly is the word 'jimmies', which means 'sprinkles' - like the ice cream topping.
Having grown up in Boston, I didn't realize until I left the area that 'jimmies' wasn't a universal tearm for the small bits of candy (chocolate or rainbow) that decorated ice cream.
Maybe it relates to the fact that Ben Franklin was born in Boston and only went to Philadelphioa as a teenager (but I doubt it).
