A Conversation for Some Thoughts on Time
Time, the speed of light, and ESP

Two separate teams of researchers recently announced that they were able to produce light waves that traveled faster than the speed of light. In the case of the researchers at Princeton University, they observed the light eminating from a lens before they sent it in.
We've long known that observation of time depended on the speed of movement of whatever it is we observe. Thunder and lightning happen simultaneously, but we hear the thunder long after we see the lightning. Likewise the report of a gun shot follows the flash in the muzzle. And the stars that we see in the sky may have died thousands of years ago. But until now it was the speed of light that determined the speed of time.

Now it seems time can be observed going faster than light. If that was always true, but we were simply not aware of it, could it be that some people can really sense things as they happen, but before they become visible? And if the event becoming visible was how we used to judge when it happened, then these people would have sensed things happening "before" they happened.
It sounds like extra-sensory perception to me. Has Princeton proven the existence of ESP? If so, it would certainly help explain New Jersey drivers http://www.h2g2.com/A139501

I believe there is no adequate explaination for New Jersey drivers. In fact there is no excuse for New Jersey drivers.
