A Conversation for Some Thoughts on Time

Trying to Divide up the Eternal

Post 1

Time is an attempt by the mind of human beings to divide up the eternal. This can be quickly seen to be impossible in the same way that the recognition of our conscious experience as being divided into separate 'bits' is a false (although useful in the short-term) idea.
What we see as a massive expanse of 'space' is simply consciousness being aware of itself. By using separate thoughts to judge this one completely united thing that we all are, we think of existence as though we can compare one bit of it against another. This gives rise to the illusion of time, which has no existence other than as an idea.
