Arsenic is also used in semiconductor technology - especially in light emitting diodes.
BTW, did you know that if you heat up a piece of arsenic, it smells of garlic?

No, to both questions. I'd never come across that use, and I never had any to heat up or I'm sure I would have discovered it though...
