Nice entry. Here in the US, the "BBC" brand is quite popular. My wife and her friend (who has cable AND a recorder) get together every week and watch Dr. Who and Torchwood. My own favorite goes way back to "Neverwhere", which I had to buy from Amazon UK, pay the freight, AND get converted to NTSC from PAL. But it was worth it, especially compared to American TV serials. So we are being happily re-colonized:

I would also recommended ' Hustle', 'Spooks' for your viewing pleasure.
If you don't have planet earth of haven't seen it, then do so. It is frankly superb!
