A Conversation for Alfred Hitchcock

Which Hitch Film was...

Which Hitch film had Cary Grant (I think) being freaked out when he saw parallel lines like ski tracks in the snow and lines on a candlewick bedspread? I seem to re-call a scene of someone falling of a house roof or out of the upstairs window and being impaled on the spikes of a metal fence below.

The film was 'Spellbound' starring the wonderful Ingrid Bergman. The male lead was not Grant though but a rather wooden Gregory Peck. The Peck character does have a flashback of his brother sliding from a roof onto some railings. It also has the famous (possibly overrated) dream sequence designed by Dali.

Thanks for that Joeskade. I wasn't sure if it was Grant so thanks for clearing that up! I saw it on TV about 35 years ago so my memory's a bit vague about it.

You're thinking of Gregory Peck in Spellbound, where he pushes his brother off some wall and onto the spikes with his big shoes or something. I didn't fully understand it but it's good
