A Conversation for Sweden

Excuse me but...
...isn't the name of this town humourous to the very people who live there? It's just a short mouth movement away from being Jävlig Staden!

Umm.. No, not really. Mayeb when you're young you like the name, cause it can get you out of trouble if you've used a swear word and your parents have caught you, but other than that, no one really thinks about it. At least not to my knowledge. Could just be me, though.

Well, even if Gävle isn't that much of a cause for snickering, there are plenty of other places in Sweden where you smile at the names. Like Trosa, a town about an hour south of Stockholm, whose name literally means 'Knicker'.
