A Conversation for The Longest German Word

I well remember the days when I lived just over the border from Germany, in Denmark. Making fun of the way German people spoke was almost a national sport!
Much was made of the German preoccupation with Job Titles, with particular reference to the "Oberführer" [Top Boss], the "Unterführer" [Under Boss] and, of course, the "Schiffenführer" [or In-Between Boss]
The Danes had to find a National Sport, I suppose, as the only things they seemed to be good at were handball (which hardly anyone else played at the time) and ping-pong (until they discovered that China were better than them!)
The longest word of all still HAS to be the ENGLISH word sMILEs ..... as you can see, there's a MILE between the first letter of the word and the last ........
