Stars Ed O'Neill (better known as "Al Bundy" from "Married With Children"), and was originally launched as "Dragnet" in 2003, being renamed "LA Dragnet" in 2004 when there was an intake of new cast.

It's a good plain procedural police drama. O'Neill is surprisingly convincing as a tough cop, and the plotlines have enough twists to make it worth watching. I don't know if they plan to make any more (it ran through 2003-2004) but it's a Dick Wolf production (Law & Order etc.) so it's stylishly filmed and high-budget.

Oh, and the update of the original "Dragnet" theme is rather wonderful, too. Well worth tuning in just for that. smiley - whistle
