A Conversation for The Healing Properties of Chillies
The curative properties of spices in general

Whenever I take ill with the flu or the common cold, I like to brew a monstrous tea of ginger, cayenne and cloves. Then to make it more palatable, I add a good measure of spiced rum and a slice of lime. In extreme circumstances, I like to add a bit of habanero juice (if there's sharp pain involved, a tall glass of bourbon and ginger is necessary). After partaking in this heady cocktail, I like to take a hot shower. Then, I have a shave. Now, with my pores open and sweating, and my brain wrecked by rum and feeling no pain, I am ready to watch something stupid on TV until I fall asleep and wake up the next afternoon as if nothing had ever happened. A pleasant side-effect is that the dreams are entertainingly vivid.
