Parkinsons and walking...

..one of the effects of parkinsons is as walking along your steps will get smaller and smaller until you are basically immobile. However if you step over something that breaks the cycle leading to you standing in the street. Some sufferers have a special cane that is hinged, and at the pres of a button will split in half, right across your path giving you something to step over. IF your imagination is good enough you can just imagine stepping over something and that will also allow to start walking normally again (well, until next time). Isn't the brain amazing

What do you mean "However if you step over something that breaks the cycle leading to you standing in the street." ? Isn't a "then" lacking in here ? :-}
