A Conversation for Worry
when not to worry
Annie Dolittle Started conversation Apr 15, 2003
Half a lifetime of worrying and endless sleepless nights later I suddenly realised the following:
I must not worry when lying in bed at 2 in the morning because chances are I won't be in a position to do anything about it.
I must not worry when I cannot do anything about the thing I'm worrying about.
I must not worry about the thing I shouldn't have said. Its too late. I've said it. Saying I shouldn't have said it, simply emphasises what I said in the first place.
(not that its stopped me worrying at all. But I sleep better!)
