Excellent contribution, well done! 
One little point, though. George C. Scott played Justin Playfair in *They Might Be Giants*, who through mental unbalance believed himself to be Sherlock Holmes. So technically he didn't actually play the famous detective.

If I remember correctly, he referred to himself as a "consulting detective".
