We've got three dozen, which isn't bad as all but about four of them we got last year. One dates back to 1994! That was Buster's one and only. Fred has more than Beauty because his looks are more distinctive.
A few are obedience work, but most are the novelty shows.
His first obedience show for this year is in February, if I can get the form off by next week, and there will be his club progress test within three weeks as well, so not long before the season starts again.

A lot that are held at this time of year are held in places with inclement weather alternatives. The last one I went to was only a couple of weeks before christmas - held under cover at a riding stables.
The wind, rain and cold don't bother the hardcore competition.
